M.E.I. Communications began operation in 1976 in Portland, Oregon and relocated to Bend, Oregon in 1983. Initial emphasis was on photography & video production.

Mike McMurray found his award winning photography in demand for brochures, catalogues and other commercial assignments, as well as a large audience for his stock photography images.
